At OverTheres Stories CIC, we use puppetry, storytelling and creativity to spark imaginations and make literacy more accessible for all children, especially those who are neurodiverse or face barriers to learning.
Whether it’s in the classroom, the library or on stage, our work is rooted in joy, play and genuine connection.
School Workshops
Our school sessions are packed with puppets, short videos, story-building and space to explore creativity.
We design everything to be inclusive- offering lots of different ways to take part, whether that’s through drawing, talking, moving, or just quietly observing. We also include gentle warm-ups and cool-downs if needed, so every child can feel calm, focused, and ready to join in (or take a breather if they need it).
It’s all about building confidence, celebrating creativity, and making literacy something to love. Not something to stress over.
Library Workshops
From puppet-led read-alongs to crafty bookmark-making, our library sessions are totally customisable. Whether you’re after a chill drop-in session or a high-energy character visit, we’ll shape it around your space, your audience, and your schedule.
Our puppet pals can make appearances with short, funny skits or gentle intros to the crafting, whatever fits the vibe!
It’s a great way to get families laughing, learning, loving books together and visiting their local libraries!
Theatre & Festival Shows
We’re cooking up our very first full-length puppet theatre show- and we’re SO excited! Featuring our two lead characters Flint and his sister Cookie, and a team of brilliant creatives, this show will be full of colour, comedy and heart- with accessibility and interactivity at its core from day one.
We’re planning to take it on tour to schools, libraries, theatres, festivals, and community spaces.. anywhere that could do with a bit more joy and puppetry and a love of storytelling.
Watch this space and our social media for updates as we develop this brand new concept.
